Central Financial Services, Inc., (CFS) founded by Mr. Jack G. Choate, started as a small, single office operation and grew rapidly. CFS serves Central and Eastern Kentucky through a number of small loan offices located in towns across it's region. CFS lends money to meet the needs of a variety of consumers. It lends small amounts to consumers who do not wish to pay the extremely high APR that check cashers charge. CFS also makes medium sized loans to consumers who want convenient, fast access to credit in a friendly atmosphere that is less formal than other financial institutions.

CFS, offers larger real estate loans as well as government assisted Kentucky Housing Corporation mortgages for those consumers who qualify and are in need of assistance in purchasing a home.

Mr. Choate founded CFS in 1983. Mr. Choate, who is originally from Casey County, Kentucky, has lived in Barbourville since the mid 1970's. Mr. Choate is a President of the Kentucky Consumer Finance Association. Mr. Choate currently sits on the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of the Kentucky Consumer Finance Association.
